The faculty of Information Technology, University of Moratuwa done the introductory session for the upcoming Microsoft Imagine cup, branding 'Microsoft Imagine cup 2009 Launching Ceremony', on 6^th of January 2009, at the faculty premises, commencing from 2.00 pm.

The event was organized in order to notify and enhance the awareness of the students of University of Moratuwa about Microsoft Imagine cup 2009 competition, and makes the university knowledgeable of its theme. Also the program gave brief the technological aspects of the competition and the importance of participation. The activities were held as follows:

• Introduction to Event
• Speech by Dean of Faculty of Information Technology
• Speech by MR. Wellington Perera, Microsoft developer evangelist, Sri Lanka.

• Imagine cup introductory video and presentation by MR. Wellington Perera, Microsoft developer evangelist.
• Get ready to Imagine Cup 2009, the discussion with winners of Imagine cup

• Certify you self with Microsoft Certifications (by NetAssist)

• Technical Session by Seminda Rajapaksha –MCTS. MCPD- Web Development - Consultant Trainer
